Clubs & Sociocultural Activities
Sociocultural life at St. Lawrence is a rich tapestry of many different interests and initiatives. From clubs and cultural events to music, art, and games, the campus is always alive with activity. Nearly 25% of the student community is involved in at least one club, group, or other student activity!

Arts & Crafting Club
Do you enjoy being creative? Join the Arts & Crafting Club to meet new people, learn hands-on skills, and bring your ideas to life!
Recently, the club folded 1,000 origami cranes and sent them to Hiroshima as a gesture of peace. They’ve also launched a heartwarming initiative to exchange letters and notes with seniors at McGreevy Manor, a local retirement home.


Bloom Communications
Bloom is Champlain St. Lawrence’s student-run marketing and communications agency guided by experienced mentors. Its mission is to deliver high-quality services while offering clients a fresh, creative perspective. By joining Bloom, students can expand their network, strengthen their résumé, and earn money—all in a fun and dynamic environment.

Eco St. Lo & the Hydroponic Garden Club
Are you passionate about the environment? Do you want to make a real difference?
The work of Eco St-Lo centres around becoming better citizens of the planet. The Green Committee is actively promoting sustainability and taking concrete steps to make the college as eco-conscious as possible. St. Lawrence is also among very few cegeps to qualify as a Fair-Trade Campus, thanks to the work of Eco St.Lo.

eSports
Love competitive gaming? Join the eSports program and take your skills to the next level in games like League of Legends, Overwatch, Valorant, and Super Smash Bros.
As part of a collegiate league, you will train with experienced coaches, practice your game of choice, compete against other teams, and have the opportunity to organize your own tournaments in our state-of-the-art eSports room.

Entrepreneurship Club (SLEC)
Looking to dive into the world of business and entrepreneurship? The St. Lawrence Entrepreneurship Club (SLEC) is the perfect place to start! Run by students, for students, SLEC offers hands-on experiences that bring Québec’s business scene to life. Whether you’re into startups, marketing, finance, or just curious about how business really works, you’ll gain real-world insights through fun events, workshops, and networking opportunities.

Fashion Show
Every year, a passionate student committee brings creativity, talent, and heart to the organization of the annual Fashion Show — one of St. Lawrence’s most anticipated events. But it’s more than just a runway show; every dollar raised goes directly to a charity chosen by the organizing team. By blending fashion, fun, and fundraising, students are making a real impact on our community.
- In 2025, the show raised $9,860 for Fondation des gouverneurs de l’espoir. Read the recap article here.

French Cultural Activities
St. Lawrence is a proud member of several networks that promote French cultural activities for our students such as:
- Association des clubs d’entrepreneurs étudiants du Québec (ACEE)
- Quebec City Intercollegiate Collaboration in Entrepreneurship
- Projet d’éducation entrepreneuriale au collège (PEEC)
- Réseau intercollégial des activités socioculturelles du Québec (RIASQ)
Each year, the RIASQ organizes various cultural activities, including Cégep en spectacle, le Marathon d’écriture, and l’Intercollégial de théâtre giving students the oppurtunity to celebrate French-language culture.


French Improv Team
Are you extroverted, spontaneous… maybe even a little wild? Then the St. Lawrence French Improvisation Team might be the perfect fit for you! If you’re looking to have fun, express yourself, and embrace creativity, this is the team to join.

Geeks & Gamers
Want to geek out over your favorite shows, dive into video games, or just escape into a good board game? If you like anything pop culture related, you’ll surely love the Geeks and Gamers club!
Some Geeks & Gamers initiatives:
- Play board games every Tuesdays and Thursdays in room 120
- Participate in the Quebec City ComiCon
- Annual pop-culture trivia


Health & Wellness Club
The Health and Wellness Club aims to educate and raise awareness within the SLC community about a wide range of health-related topics. The club promotes the importance of focusing on physical, mental, and spiritual health.

Intercultural Club
Do you want to share your culture and heritage with the SLC community? The Intercultural Club provides a welcoming space to celebrate diversity, promote cross-cultural understanding, and build connections among students from all backgrounds. The Intercultural Lunch is a highly anticipated event and is usually held in the spring. Teachers, staff, and students are all encouraged to participate.

Kickstart SLC
Thinking of starting your own business? Have a great idea but don’t know where to start? Kickstart SLC is a service offered to students at St-Lawrence who wish to start their own business, learn more about start-ups, and expand their business network with actual Entrepreneurs in partnership with Spektrum. Mentors from different business backgrounds volunteer to exchange with students and to help them move their business venture forward. Workshops and visits from our team of Mentors and other professionals are organized throughout the year to support student projects.

LGBTQ+ Club
The LGBTQ+ Club at St. Lawrence promotes the freedom to express and embrace one’s identity. The club offers support, shares resources, and provides tips on how to feel confident and comfortable in who you are. It is a safe, inclusive space where all students are welcome to be themselves and connect with others.

The Lions’ Log (Student Newspaper)
Are you passionate about writing, photography, or web design? Do you want to share your talents and interests while contributing to the school newspaper? Whether you’re interested in writing about current events, politics, school sports, sociocultural topics, movie reviews, opinion pieces, or capturing these moments through photography, there’s a place for you on the Lion’s Log team.
Available Roles:
- Editor-in-Chief
Leads the newspaper team, assigns roles and articles, organizes meetings, and proofreads all submissions. - Journalist
Does research, attends school events, conducts interviews, and writes engaging articles. - Photographer
Captures images at school events to accompany articles and bring stories to life. - Web Designer
Builds and maintains the newspaper’s website.
This is a great opportunity for students to develop their skills, collaborate creatively, and contribute to a meaningful school publication.

Model United Nations Club
Are you interested in international relations, politics, or simply making the world a better place? Join the St. Lawrence Model United Nations Club and step into the shoes of a diplomat! You will take on the role of a delegate representing a country in simulated United Nations sessions. Through research, debate, and collaboration with students from all around the world, you will deepen your understanding of global affairs while developing valuable skills in negotiation, leadership, and public speaking.
As a St. Lawrence delegate, you will have the chance to participate in conferences including:
- McMUN (Montreal): Canada’s most renowned MUN conference, held by McGill University
- NMUN (New York): the world’s oldest, largest, and most prestigious simulation.

The Multimedia Club
The Multimedia Club believes that storytelling isn’t just about the final image—it’s also about the creative journey behind it.
Club members will have the opportunity to explore and apply various multimedia techniques, produce event videos, and take on a range of creative projects. Whether collaborating on group work or developing personal content, students are encouraged to express their ideas and build their skills in a supportive, hands-on environment.


OSEntreprendre
There are several contests available for student entrepreneurship projects, including Launch Your Idea! in November and OSEntreprendre in March.
The OSEntreprendre Challenge is a major Québec movement that acknowledges the entrepreneurial initiatives of young people from elementary school to university (Student Entrepreneurship division) and new entrepreneurs (Business Creation division). It also shares inspiring success stories through its Successful Business Inc. Division.
Students can apply under two categories: innovation projects or business ideas. These competitions are open to all students, and winners receive bursaries to support their initiatives.


Proto St. Lo (STEM club)
Proto St. Lo, St. Lawrence’s STEM club, seeks to increase student engagement in the sciences by supporting students-led STEM initiatives, taking science beyond the walls of the classroom. Recently, the club has taken part in the Great Lakes Aquahackathon (and come in third!), run a mocktail mixology workshop open to all students, and organized members-only workshops on topics such as 3D printing.


SLC Radio
The SLC Radio team brings energy and joy to student life at St. Lawrence through the power of music.
A diverse team curates a wide variety of tracks that play in the cafeteria from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday to Friday, creating a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere for all to enjoy.

The Theatre Troupe is a creative space for performers, writers and directors to come together and celebrate the magic of live theatre. Whether you’re a seasoned actor or just curious about the spotlight, the Theatre Troupe club welcomes all levels of experience.
