First day of classes - We are back in business!
Yesterday, August 18th, was the first day of classes. There is always a crazy electricity in the air when students come in. Students are looking for their lockers, setting up their classrooms and labs, and seeing each other after their summer break. There were smiles everywhere!
Even on their first day students were eager to get to work
Tuesday and Wednesday were Welcome Days. This is where all the first-year students get familiar with being at CEGEP. Volunteers, staff, and faculty were there to greet newcomers and prepare books for this year's curriculum.

SLCSA also hosted a back-to-school cookout on school grounds. By the look of the lineup, this event was also a huge success. This event by students for students is such a great way to get the social juices rolling and to wind up for the school grind ahead.
