Season 2019 wrap-up for the soccer Lions
Champlain St. Lawrence just completed its first season in division 2. After being in division 3 (mixed) for several seasons, this was a big move for the college to enter a very challenging and competitive division 2 league.
Despite a very small roster (13), St. Lawrence Lions battled every game. Although the battle was tough, they remained strong and never gave up. St. Lawrence finished the season with a great performance and win. A great way to end the season and a solid effort from all the players.
During the season, Justin Capaday and Jacob Lavoie had three goals each, while Edward Bouchard and Justin Roy had two goals. Our goalkeeper, Philippe Plista, made some great saves throughout the season. Returning next season are Olivier Dufour, Deep Hasmukh, Justin Roy, Anh Tu Chau, Jacob Lavoie, Edward Bouchard, and Dimitrie Siriac.
Thanks to Philippe Plista, Louis Bleau, Felix-Antoine Aube, Alexander Hinkson, Justin Capaday, and Nicolas McManus for their effort and the time they devoted to the Lions soccer team.
