Perfect season for the women's basketball D2
Coach Justin Robert can be proud of his achievement as his team finishes the 2017-18 basketball season with a clean sheet. This perfect season is the first ever recorded for the D2 Lions. Last time the team won the season’s banner was in 2013 with a record of 13 wins and 3 lost.
INTERESTING FACTS
Karine Demeule was the top leader of the team for the first half of the season and continued as an assistant coach for the second part of the season. At the same time, the two rookies Jeanne Bellerose and Ariane Doré had to step up their level of play. They both ended the regular season with a high total of 211 (15.1 pts/game) and 209 (14.9 pts/game) points respectively.
The St. Lawrence community is very thankful towards the commitment and professionalism of coach Robert and his two assistant coaches, Jennica Laberge and Demeule. We wish the best of luck to the girls and especially to the seniors Isabelle Marceau and Catherine Boulanger who will be at their last opportunity to compete at the college level.
Next challenge will be the Conference Finals, hosted by Drummondville on March 24 and 25.
Best of luck to the team!
