Blood Drive: 120 Donors for St. Lawrence
We have the pleasure to announce that the Hema Quebec Blood Drive was a success. This annual event was held in the IA Financial Group Auditorium. 120 donors participated this year which contributes to save 480 lifes. 80 of these 120 were new donors! In comparison the 2017 edition saw 112 donors including 25 first-timers.
A special mention goes to our Lions hockey team who, in honor of the Humboldt Broncos tragedy, as a team, gave blood and for many this was a first.
Hema Québec is very happy with our organization. A special thanks to Véronique Dion-Larivière, Adiba Chowdhury and their great group of volunteers. This year our organizers had to deal with a last minute change in date but came through brilliantly. They worked very hard to make this blood drive a success. Thank you to all involved and see you next year!
