Taking Applications for the College Writers' Award
Do you like to write? The Quebec Writers' Federation is calling for submissions for the College Writers' Award. A prize of $1,000 will be awarded for the best short story, poem or work of non-fiction. Entrants must be residents of Quebec and enrolled in one of the sponsoring colleges (SLC included). The submission deadline is Monday, May 13th. Note that the June 3rd deadline on the poster is the date by which the college must submit entries to the QWF, not the date by which applications must be sent to the college.
Please consult the PDF below to learn more about what to submit and how the selection process will work. If you would like to submit your work for consideration, please send it to Terri Connolly by MIO in advance of the deadline.
The Zoom information session for interested students has been moved to Tuesday, April 30th at 12:15pm. It should last about 20 minutes. The session will be run by the contest organizer, Alyse Tunnell. Attend the session in person in room 347 or via the Zoom link below:
