New employees: Welcome aboard! - winter 2019

We are pleased to introduce the new employees who will start at the College this winter:

 

FACULTY

Sandra P. Escalera Gonzalez – Economy

Sandra holds a BA Degree in Economics from L'Institut de technologie et d'études supérieures in Monterrey and a MA Degree from the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona in Applied Economics. She is currently completing her PHD at Laval University in Political Science.

During her career, Sandra has served as Political and Economic Advisor for the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as Independent Economic Advisor in Monterrey, Mexico and as Research Assistant at the Center for Public Policy Analysis (CAPP) at Laval University.

In addition, Sandra acted as Academic Tutor at the Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey in Economics, as Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics and Humanities at the Universidad de Monterrey and as Teaching Assistant at the Department of Political Science at Laval University.


Noor Mohammad Wasi Uddin – Economy

Noor holds a BSS in Economics from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology in Bangladesh, an MSc in Economics and Econometrics from the University of Essex in United Kingdom, a MA in Economics from Carleton University in Canada, and a PhD in Economics from McGill University in Canada.

Noor has been Program Associate, Research Associate, and Senior Research Associate for the Center for Policy Dialogue in Bangladesh, as Consultant for Power and Participation Research in Dhaka, Bangladesh. He also acted as Lecturer in the Department of Economics in North South University in Dhaka, Bangladesh and as a Teaching Assistant and Course Lecturer in the Department of Economics at McGill University.


Yann Alexandre Maalouf – Economy

Yann Alexandre holds a BA Degree and a MA degree in Applied Economics from the University of Quebec in Montreal.

Yann Alexandre has had contracts as Professor in Economics at Champlain College in St. Lambert, as well as Cégep Beauce-Appalaches, Lac-Mégantic and Moncton University at Edmundston Campus.


Marc André Frenette – Business

Marc André is a graduate of St. Lawrence College who studied Business Administration. He holds a BA degree in Business Administration from Laval University and a CFA from CFA Institute.

During his career, he was fortunate enough to work for the family business Jardin de Roses in Québec City and he also owned Dalston Square Kitchen in London and Le Wine Guy in Paris.

Marc André has had the opportunity to work abroad as Senior Financial Analyst for ITE Group PLC in London and as Financial System Analyst for Barclays Global Investors, Mellon Bank and Standard Chartered Bank in London. More recently, he was a Relationship Manager and Credit Analyst for Standard Chartered Bank in Paris and London and Senior Relationship Manager for HSBC in Québec City.


Martin Plante – Business

Martin holds a Bachelor of Arts with a specialization in Communication (Media) and a concentration in Canadian Studies from the University of Ottawa and an MBA from the University of Ottawa with a concentration in Operations Management and Production. He also has a graduate diploma of specialized studies in labor relations from the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières and a Six-Sigma Green Belt (2000).

During his career, Martin has been Production Manager for Northam Food Trading (Maple Leafs International), Director of Operations for Location Grandchamp in Repentigny, Economic Development Advisor for the Joliette Local Development Center, School Administrative Assistant at the Thérèse-Martin High school in Joliette, Teacher, French as a second language, at Rawdon Middle School, Coordinator for the Bioalimentaire Development Council of Lanaudière, Director of Operations, Quality Production and Marketing for the Store of Lanaudière Abbey inc. in St-Jean-de-Matha. He has served as Operations Management Consultant for PVA Consultants in Boisbriand and as a Business School Instructor for the School Board for Affluents and for the Commission scolaire de Montréal.


SUPPORT

Gaëlle Ferlay – Documentation Technician

Gaëlle holds a DEC in Languages ​​from Cégep de Lévis-Lauzon and a DEC in Documentation Techniques from Cégep de Trois-Rivières.

Gaëlle is Manager at the Chalet du Camping Dubuc in Chicoutimi since 2004. She was a Student in Documentation Technician at the Quebec Ministry of Transportation, Student Documentation Technician for the Ministry of Culture and Communications, Trainee for the Department of Education Sciences at UQTR and Trainee at the Library of the UQTR as well as Trainee at the Bibliothèque des Archives Nationales du Québec. More recently, she worked as a Documentation Technician at Cégep de Ste-Foy. Gaëlle speaks four languages: French, English, German and Spanish.
