Frequently Asked Questions
If you are elligible for graduation, you will receive an Omnivox request to fill out a survey. This survey is MANDATORY.
It allows us to confirm:
- Whether you plan to attend the graduation ceremony
- Your gown size
- If you will have guests attending (maximum of two guests per graduate)
If you did not receive the survey link, please come to room 201 or send a MIO to Joanne Gosselin so we can assist you.
If you have any questions or believe you were missed, don’t hesitate to reach out.
If you initially indicated that you would not be attending but now wish to participate, please see Joanne Gosselin in room 201 as soon as possible. This will allow us to order your gown and arrange your ticket(s).
Please note that without purchasing tickets, you will not have access to the graduation ceremony.
Tickets cost $40, which includes the rental of your gown as well as admission, for you and up to two guests.
Tickets will be available for pick-up during the first week of May at the reception desk. You can pay either through Omnivox or in person at in rooms 201 and 239, next to the main doors).
A valid ticket is required for entry. You and your guests will not be permitted to enter the venue without a ticket.
The deadline to purchase tickets is May 29, 2026. Please note that no tickets will be available after this date.

Graduation Awards
At graduation each spring, St. Lawrence and its partners award prizes to students who have stood out during their studies due to academics, athletics, sociocultural activities, community involvement, and more. Some awards require application; we will put out a call in the springtime. Please feel encouraged to apply to all awards for which you feel you may be eligible. The process is simple and doesn’t take long.
The Donald J. Petzel Scholarships are established in memory of Donald J. Petzel, a dedicated educator at St. Lawrence who significantly influenced numerous students. The primary aim of these scholarships is to honour students who exhibit intellectual curiosity, a profound commitment to learning, and active involvement in their communities. The Donald J. Petzel scholarships are endowed by the Fondation Chemin d’Espérance established by the Soeurs de la Charité de Québec.
The Donald J. Petzel Scholarships will grant two scholarships of $5000, one awarded to a student who identifies as a man, and the other to a student who identifies as a woman.
To qualify for the scholarship. candidates must meet the following criteria:
· Demonstrate social engagement, either within the St. Lawrence community or in the broader environment. The selection committee will particularly appreciate involvement in fundraising and philanthropic activities.
· Have initiated a project or activity that positively impacted either St. Lawrence or the wider community.
· Show significant potential to contribute positively to their chosen field and society at large.
· Be completing their second year of studies at St. Lawrence as full-time students.The St. Lawrence Scholarship Committee, comprising representatives from student life, professional services, a member of the college leadership team, and a representative of Fondation Chemin d’Espérance is responsible for selecting the recipients.
The scholarships will be formally awarded during the annual graduation ceremony.
This annual scholarship is awarded to a student entering their first year of university in nursing and medicine. This prestigious scholarship is in keeping with the Quebec City English Speaking Community Foundation’s mandate of helping students in financial need reach their dreams.

The P.W. Sims Award is presented annually to the most outstanding Business student pursuing university studies in Business Administration or Commerce.

This monetary award recognizes a female graduating student who has made a successful transition from high school to college while adapting to a new living environment.
Awarded to students in the business program who have demonstrated academic excellence.
This award is given to the student with the strongest academic performance of those having completed both LOMA training sessions.
Awarded to students in the business program who have demonstrated academic excellence.
Awarded to students in the business program who have demonstrated engagement and excellence.
Presented to the graduating student who has demonstrated integrity, fortitude, adaptability, and determination.
Instituted to commemorate the contribution made by François-Jacques Roussin in the area of cooperation and community service, and to recognize the efforts of students who have followed his example.
This monetary award is presented to the graduating student who best combines leadership and academic excellence.
Presented to the student who best provides consistent and exceptional effort in organizing and supporting student activities.
Awarded to the student who best combines academic, socio-cultural and community achievements.
This monetary award is presented to the graduating student who best combines academic excellence and athletic achievement.
Presented to students who best demonstrate the ability to succeed academically and socially, despite the obstacles they have faced.
Presented to students who took a leadership role and helped their fellow St. Lawrence students’ well-being, personally and academically.
Awarded to a student who wishes to pursue further studies in the fields of language and culture and has proven their commitment to these goals.
