St. Lawrence at McGill Model United Nations 2026: Congratulations to Our Delegates! 

From January 29th to February 1st, thirty-four St. Lawrence students participated in the McGill Model United Nations (McMUN 2026) in Montreal. Working with over 1000 university and college students from across Canada, the United States, and Australia, our delegates stepped into the role of diplomats representing UNESCO, UNICEF, and the ICAO.  

 In the smaller committees, students engaged in thoughtful debate on a wide range of complex global issues, including the transformative impact of artificial intelligence, housing challenges in Africa, Scotland’s clan revival, and the 1984 case brought by Nicaragua against the United States before the International Court of Justice. 

For the first time in SLC MUN history, several of our delegates also participated in the fast-paced, immersive crisis committees. These dynamic sessions explored topics as varied as the election of Cory Aquino, the fall of Constantinople, as well as high-level corporate negotiations at Pokémon, Evergrande and the Australian Rugby League. 

Our delegates were supported by a dedicated team of Head Delegates, whose mentorship, leadership, and organization were instrumental to SLC MUN’s success at this year’s conference. 

Congratulations to all our delegates, and we hope this experience was both stimulating and rewarding.
