Student Life
At St. Lawrence, your success extends far beyond the walls of the classroom. Getting involved in student life at the college helps you to develop a sense of blossoming, cooperation and autonomy, and it can facilitate your integration into the college community.

Get Involved
Our Student Activities team works hard to keep college life dynamic by supporting our sports teams, sociocultural activities, and annual events. If you’d like participate in an existing group, start a new activity or club, or learn more about what we have to offer, send a MIO to Frédérique Limoges, our Recreational Activities Technician, or drop by the student activities office.

Athletics
Our LIONS athletics program comprises 9 teams across 7 sports, with over 150 students taking part each year. We also have athletic facilities open to all students for class or working out.

Sociocultural Life
As part of a desire to promote diversity, inclusion, and student development, St. Lawrence offers a wide variety of socio-cultural and extracurricular activities. By joining our clubs and organized activities, you can make new friends, develop your passions, and discover new talents. Did you know that nearly 25% of our students are involved in a student club or group?

Annual Events

Intercultural Lunch
Do you like to cook? Do you want to share your culture and heritage with us? This special event invites students and staff to come together and share traditional dishes, stories, and customs from around the world. Whether you’re showcasing your heritage or exploring new flavours, the Intercultural Lunch is a chance to connect, learn, and enjoy a delicious meal in great company. If you are interested in participating, please contact the Recreational Activities Technician to learn more about presenting your food heritage to the St. Lawrence community!

St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Every year the St. Lawrence community comes together to participate in the Quebec City Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Students, staff, teachers, managers, sports teams, and socio-cultural clubs are all invited to join the St. Lawrence parade delegation. Join us for a full afternoon of pride, music, cheers, and, most of all, FUN in the heart of the city.
Snacks, transportation, and accessories are all included.

Community Christmas Hamper Campaign
For over two decades, Québec City’s English-speaking community has been collaborating towards the success of a Community Christmas Hamper Campaign. At St. Lawrence we are very proud to be part of this great community event. The Community Christmas Hamper Campaign distributes over 200 Christmas hampers to homes in need in the Québec City region. To learn more or to support their work through your time or a financial contribution, please visit their website: http://qchampers.ca/ and keep an eye out for college announcements in the fall.

Héma Québec Blood Drive
Every year, St. Lawrence hosts a student-run blood drive in collaboration with Héma Québec. We have consistently reached our objective of 110 donors per year, making us one of the most successful CEGEP blood drive locations in the city.
If you have just turned 18 years old, you are more than welcome to donate for the first time!
