Women's Basketball - D2

With multiple provincial titles to their name, the women’s D2 basketball team is no stranger to elite collegiate basketball. During the 2024 – 2025 season, they had a perfect season winning all their regular games and sweeping both provincial and conference titles.

Reigning Provincial, Conference and Regular Season Champions

Justin Robert has been part of the Lions women’s basketball program since 2009. Over the past 15 years, he has helped shape the team into a consistent contender in the RSEQ North-East Division 2 conference, with the Lions finishing in the top two for the last ten seasons. Alongside his work at Champlain St. Lawrence, he served as an assistant coach with the Université Laval women’s basketball team from 2015 to 2019, gaining experience at the university level. His coaching career began with the Quebec High School boys’ basketball team, where he coached from 2006 to 2010.

Tryouts

Team tryouts are open to all SLC students and are held during the first two weeks of classes.

Practices

The team practices 8 to 10 hours per week.  

Competition Calendar

The season starts in mid-October and finishes in mid-March, followed by the North-East Conference Championships the third weekend of March, and the Provincial Championships during the first weekend of April.
