Indigenous Services at St. Lawrence
Our Indigenous Activities Technician, Mahée-Lye Charlish Duchesne, is a great resource for Indigenous students. She is here to support, guide and offer information to help you on your educational journey, from navigating the admission process to graduation. Contact her by MIO or drop by room 270.
Why Should I Self-Identify?
By self-identifying as Indigenous, you help us better reach you, so that you are informed about services, financial support, as well as activities available to you. At St. Lawrence, we offer:
- Gatherings with other Indigenous students at St. Lawrence, those from other cégeps, and Indigenous organizations (Centre d’amitié autochtone de Québec, MAMUK)
- Culturally relevant activities
- Sports (e.g., volleyball games)
- Workshops about First Nations and Inuit culture
- Mentorship and networking activities with professionals or alumni (available on request)
- Support to fill out bursary applications
To fill out the form, log in to Omnivox, visit the Indigenous Student Support community, and click the “Self-Identify” tab.
