Final Painting Project Exhibition

The “Final Painting Project” exhibition features the last project of the students in the Painting course. Take a look at their marvelous paintings on the 3rd floor hallway beside the exit door. Students chose to paint an original composition, to make a study of a painting, or to be inspired by a painting from the past. Original compositions were created from a variety of references, including personal photos and sketches drawn from life, memory, or imagination.

This year we have 2 self-portrait impersonations, in which the student substituted their own face for the face of a famous portrait. Students who chose to draw inspiration from paintings from the past did so after a thorough analysis of the artist’s technique, examining the brushwork, traces of paint layers, and the artist’s color palette.
