Methodology and Research Workshop
The service
The Methodology and Research Workshop is a one-on-one consultation and coaching service offered by teachers.
The aim is for students to improve the quality of their research as well as their research and essay writing skills. The workshop helps students with the following:
- Methodology
- finding researchable topics,
- identifying credible and reliable sources,
- using Zotero and the plugins for Chrome and Word,
- avoiding plagiarism,
- managing term projects, and
- using quantitative methods with Excel (NEW).
- Writing for research papers, including
- formulating a research statement and a thesis statement,
- producing an outline to organize ideas and facts before writing,
- paraphrasing, quoting, and citing sources, and
- learning to cite in-text and to present a bibliography in APA style or MLA style.
For whom
Methodology Workshops are available to all students from all programs who need help with doing research and writing research essays and other research-based term projects.
The methodology and research workshop now offers help for QM as well as other methodological issues.
