Business students take 2nd place at the finance case competition of La Coupe Paillé!
Last weekend, six of our students participated in the prestigious second edition of La Coupe Paillé case competition. Organizers wanted to offer students an experience they would remember forever. And that they did. Thirty teams from different CEGEPs across the province competed in case competitions in one of two categories:
- Marketing
- Accounting & Finance
Our marketing team included Christophe Lalande, Noah Gorman and Justin Mc Nicoll-Tardif. The team gave an excellent performance and, according to judges, were daring and audacious.
The Accounting & Finance trio gave a breathtaking performance and finished in 2nd place! Thomas Delisle, Thomas Simoneau and Samuel Barbeau, all third-year business students, impressed the judges and won a $3,000 scholarship.
Thomas Simoneau was selected best speaker of all 16 teams in the Accounting & Finance case competition division as well. He added the latest iPad to his winnings.
This was the second edition of La Coupe Paillé. It was a collaboration with the Cegep regional de Lanaudière at Joliette. Over $20,000 of prizes were awarded.
La coupe Paillé achieved their objectives. These participants will never forget the incredible experience!
