Humanitarian Trip (SLCHT)

Humanitarian Trip (SLCHT)

The St. Lawrence College Humanitarian Trip club has for mission to participate in a cooperative trip each year, at the end of the second semester, in a community where the members will contribute to support the growth and development of the local institutions.

The SLCHT works conjointly with an external non-profit organization, which is chosen at the beginning of the school year, in order to guarantee the well-being of members and to help organize the logistics throughout the trip.

So far, the SLCHT club has organized two humanitarian trips to Nicaragua and Honduras.

Prior to the trip, the SLCHT club organizes multiple fundraising events in order to reduce the members’ personal costs, to sensibilize students about the communities we visit, and to bring supplies to said communities.
