Dear members of the St. Lawrence community,

Following the directives from the Quebec government, we would like to provide you with key information regarding the closing of the College from March 16 to March 29 inclusively.

St. Lawrence Students:

  • All classes are suspended;
  • On Monday, March 16, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, you will have access to the College to allow you to recuperate personal belongings;
  • As of Tuesday, March 17, you will have no access to the College. More specifically classrooms, the library, the sports facilities, the laboratories will not be accessible;
  • The due dates for assignments planned between March 16 and March 29 are postponed. Teachers will inform you of the new due dates once classes will have resumed;
  • You will be able to communicate with your teachers through MIO;
  • All events that were planned until the end of March are cancelled such as the Blood Drive, conferences, Evenings with Leaders, and so on.

St. Lawrence Faculty:

  • On Monday, March 16, the College will be open from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm to allow you to pick up any material or personal belongings you may wish to have during the two-week period;
  • As of Tuesday, March 17 you will have no access to the College. More specifically classrooms, the library, the sports facilities, and laboratories will not be accessible;
  • Classes are suspended and there will be no teaching activities;
  • The due dates for assignments planned between March 16 and March 29 are postponed. Please inform your students of new due dates once classes will have resumed;
  • Faculty are asked to work from home and remain available to answer student questions;
  • We would invite faculty to use this time to think about the eventuality of a reduced semester when we resume on March 30;
  • Please proceed to cancel any field trips that were planned during this two-week period. We will re-evaluate field trips planned for April and May in the coming days;
  • No new field trips should be planned until further notice;
  • All events and activities that were planned on campus have been cancelled until the end of March.

St. Lawrence Professionals and Support Staff:

  • All classes are suspended;
  • Those affected to critical tasks will be asked to come to work at the College. You will be informed by your immediate supervisor if such is the case;
  • Those not involved in critical tasks will be asked to work from home by using their own IT tools. If this raises problems, please contact your immediate supervisor on Monday.
