New employees: Welcome aboard!
Angela Stevens – Dean of Faculty
Angela holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Environmental Science from the University of Peterborough.
Angela started as a Teacher in the Department of Tourism at St. Lawrence College in 2001. She has served as a Tourism Department Coordinator from 2007 to 2009 and from 2010 to 2016. She also served as Tourism Program Coordinator in the Winter of 2014 and beyond. She has been involved in various committees or projects during her career at St. Lawrence: Inclusive Pedagogy Project, Pedagogical Committee and the Commission of Studies. Before taking up her new position, Angela also held the position of Pedagogical Counselor.
Christian Brosseau – Dean of Academic Organization
Christian holds a Bachelor’s degree in Teaching English as a Second Language.
Christian joined the team in 1998 as a Recreational Activities Technician. Since then he has held many positions leading his current position such as Academic Advisor and more recently Student Affairs Counsellor and Coordinator of Student Activities. Christian is responsible for the development and implementation of the “SLC Reaches Out” leadership and volunteering program as was as the Lions Injury protocol.
We are also pleased to introduce the new employees who started at the College recently.
Jean-Philippe Brière – Human Resources Manager
Jean-Philippe holds a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Relations from Laval University. He began his career by obtaining successive contracts as Labor Relations Coordinator for the Fédération interprofessionnelle de la santé du Québec. He later served as Personnel Supervisor at Papiers White Birch, as well as Human Resources Coordinator for Saputo before accepting the position of Human Resources Coordinator for Philip Morris International.
Stephanie Dubé – Assistant to the Campus Director
Stephanie has a DEC in Arts from the Rivière-du-Loup CEGEP, a DEP in Secretariat as well as a Certificate in Administration from TELUQ.
Stephanie has held various positions as an Executive Assistant in different sectors over the years. She has worked as an Executive Assistant for Industrial Alliance, for the Secretary General at the Red Cross and for the Public Health Agency of Canada in Ottawa, and more recently held the positions of Executive Assistant at the Québec Port Authority, LeddarTech Inc., and Investia.
Jeanne Piette - Biology
Jeanne holds a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree in Biology from Laval University.
More recently, Jeanne has been a Teaching Assistant at Laval University and a Project Manager for the Fondation Québécoise pour la protection du Patrimoine naturel.
Catherine Laliberté – Business
Catherine holds an Integrated Baccalaureate in International Studies and Modern Languages and an MBA from Laval University.
She is a specialist in WEB communications and has worked at Cossette Communications as a trainee and, more recently, at O2WEB as Project Manager.
Faisal Rabby – Economy
Faisal holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Dhaka University in Bangladesh, as well as an MA and a PhD in Economics from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey, USA.
During his professional career, Faisal held the positions of Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant at Rutgers University in New Jersey. He was later Lecturer at the same university in the Department of Economics. Subsequently, he held the positions of Instructor at the Department of Economics at Missouri State University, Assistant Professor of Economics at Concordia University, Teacher of Economics at Champlain College of St-Lambert and, finally, Teacher of Economics at Dawson College.
Marc Éthier – Mathematics
Marc holds a Bachelor's degree and a Master’s in Mathematics from the University of Ottawa. He also holds a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Sherbrooke.
He was an Instructor in Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Ottawa as well as an Instructor in Mathematics at the Sherbrooke University. He has also been Research Assistant in his postdoctoral fellowship in Mathematics and Science at Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland. Finally, he was Assistant Professor at the Department of Mathematics and Science at the University of St. Boniface in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
William Teskey – Business
William holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management from Northeast University as well as a Master's degree in International Business Management from the University of Liverpool.
Between 2007 and 2011, William held various jobs in the field of education in China. He later became the Cofounder and Operations Manager for The Politburo Technologies in Calgary. He also served as Director of Operations for the Canadian Cloud Council in Calgary. Finally, he held the position of Business Development Manager for Canbuilt Manufacturing in Toronto.
Stacy Chriswell – Tourism
Stacy holds a French-language elementary teaching degree from the University of Grenoble, a Bachelor’s degree in Arts, French Language and Literature and a Master’s of Science in Multinational Business Studies from Boston University. She also holds a Quebec Local Tour Guide E-learning Certificate from CEGEP Champlain - St. Lawrence and an Alternate Route to Certification Certificate from the Connecticut State Department of Higher Education, Hartford, CT.
Stacy worked as French Teacher for New Haven Public Schools. She has also worked and still works as an Office Assistant / Tour Guide for Ghost Tours of Quebec, an English as Second Language Instructor for English Conversation Workshops and an English Oral Proficiency Interview Rater for Language Testing International.
Alexandre Roussel – Academic Advisor
Alexandre holds a Bachelor's degree as well as Master’s degree in Sciences de l’orientation from Laval University.
Prior to his current job, Alexandre worked as an Intervenant en persévérance scolaire and as a Guidance and Employment Counselor for the Carrefour jeunesse-emploi in Beauce-Nord.
